Great Bike

The bike is great, a bit fiddly to put together and the bolt/screw for the water bottle was missing but the bike is easy to use, adjusts easily, is sturdy and whisper quiet.

Great quality spin bike

Vortex brand was used in the gym, I used to go many years ago. This bike is really well made, sturdy and so smooth to ride. Changed the pedals to cleats. Definitely need a second person to help lift off pallet and out of boxing. Love it !

Comfortable but noisy

Good bike, very comfortable and easy to adjust hand bars, seat height and distance (normally I can never get these right where I need them due to my height). The big downside to the bike is every time I increase the tension it continually makes a noise, the only time it’s quiet is when there is no tension applied. I have applied a silicon based lubricant to the fly wheel which hasn’t resolved the issue either.

This is actually how brake pad resistance bikes work and they do generally make noise when there is resistance applied as the brake pad is touching the fly wheel which is creating the friction. Something like a magnetic spin bike would be more quiet. I hope that clears it up if there was any confusion as to whether the bike was meant to be making any noise.
